Additionally, Betts has written on the page a brief note about herself and a character in the novel. "1968 was a strong year for a writer who understood theme but needed a lesson in plot! No reviewer has ever commented on the expectation that Foley will go to the Democratic convention in Chicago, get whacked on the head during demonstrations, & turn radical!" Spine edge cloth slightly pushed; dustjacket has a tiny tear on the rear panel upper edge and few shallow wrinkles. Near Fine condition in a Near Fine dustjacket with a Durafold mylar cover.
