Anderson, Kent.
SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL.
NY:
Doubleday
1987.
Hardcover.
First edition, first prnt. Signed by Anderson on the title page. Also inscribed by Anderson on the front free endpage. "For Dennis and Wendy Pretty brutal story but True as I could write it -- called "Mostly Repugnant" by Kirkus Reviews -- Hope you like it -- Kent" Slight rub on spine cloth and tiny nick on front board topedge; dustjacket with spine bottom edge just touched. Near Fine condition in a Near Fine dustjacket with a Durafold mylar cover. Anderson's first novel. Since the publication of this title I have seen perhaps half a dozen copies with an inscription by Anderson referring to the Kirkus Reviews comment; none makes it clear what his attitude is about it: bothersome, stupid, disappointed, proud, etc.).
[Book #30771]
Price: $275.00
